Progress... No, really !

E-mail Print PDF

It's not completely where I want it, and I still need to clean up the table and shelves, but it looks a lot
better now than it did back in the summer when I started to try to clean up...

Before....

And now...

I can even move around, and theoretically work on a car in there now....

Hollywood Motorsports Z Spider Info

My Speedster Z Project will use body panels from a few sources, mainly John Washington at Reaction Research, well known for the Velo Rossa which builds on a first gen Z Car platform.

The back deck however is from a different convertible Z design, marketed by Hollywood Motorsports in the early 90's.  I don't know if this company is still around in any form or not.  I liked the design of the Hollywood kit, because it had a nice character line where the cars built from the ZTherapy design tend to have flat decks / trunks.  I had given up hope of finding one of the Hollywood kits, when I stumbled upon a Z shop that said they had the remaining inventory for sale.

....a little progress....

E-mail Print PDF

Well, I didn't drive any finished projects out of the garage in celebration of the first week of refocusing....  I really did stay busy most of the week.  There is definite progress being made on cleaning out the garage, although I am far from ready to snap the after picture.  I got some work done in the house, some painting and such, and I did finish and maiden the Super Decathlon.

Oh, made it to a local pick and pull and snagged a Pathfinder manifold and valve covers for the Z31, and an S13 diff cover for the Q45 diff going in to Speedster Z.

Stay tuned.....

Where We Stand, or Let the Public Humiliation Begin

E-mail Print PDF

My garage / workshop isn't that big, 14 X 24 or something like that.  It should be plenty of room to do some work though, as long as I am neat, careful and organized.....  Three strikes, I'm out....

What a mess....

Hiding in there somewhere, you should be able to see the nose of a first gen Z car.

So, the first thing I need to do if I am going to get this show on the road is to clean up this mess and give myself somewhere to work....
